Every year we marry one of our most decadent beers, Quadraphonic Quadrupel, with the smooth and rich complexity of dark Caribbean rum barrels. The barrels add lush vanilla and subtle oak flavor to beer already bursting with raisins and dark fruit. Other notes including brown sugar as well subtle hints of clove and star anise are layered throughout the mid pallet making for a rich mouth feel that unlocks tantalizing complexity with every sip. With a yearly production of 100 gallons or so, Quandrum is a rare gem that shows what a truly complimentary spirit can do with the granddaddy of classic Belgian beers.

Draft at The Porch in Key West. Aroma of plums and molasses, vague hints of black forest cake. Good jet black body and small head, motor oil in a glass shall we say. Flavour is cloying plum candy and hints of sweet chocolate. Medium mouthfeel but lots of sugar left behind. It's an okay heavy beer but not much finesse in there.
