A big hoppy IPA weighing in at 7.5% alc./vol. golden with a slight dry hop haze it has a big citrusy nose from the generous dose of a brand new experimental hop variety, the so far un-named, # 07270. Trailhead is made with a touch of malted rye and light crystal malt to give a supporting role to the crisp bitterness expected in a good west coast style IPA.

On tap. Pours a clear copper-amber with a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Aroma of bready malt, caramel, grapefruit rind, pine needles and floral hops. Sweet flavour of pale malt, caramel, grapefruit, pine and alcohol heat in a dry, bitter, spicy hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Ok.

Not exciting in the appearance department with clear gold and no head. Very fruity hops aroma trending towards strawberries even, fruit juice. Good hoppy flavour with a crisp finish. Simple a lnd drinkable.
