Using a patented fermentation process, the beer is brewed to a lower caloric content while retaining full flavour (this process minimizes carbohydrate content in the finished product). Labatt Lite is slightly more bitter than most light beers, with a true hop flavour delivery. Using imported European hops and a unique special blend of malt; it delivers a truly dry taste with minimal sweetness and low aftertaste.

355ml can. Pours a crystal clear straw colour with a small, fizzy, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. Faint aroma of grainy malt and corn. Sweet flavour of corn and faint grassy hops in a clean, dry finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average carbonation. Just crushed this after cutting the grass in the hot sun, so a good lawnmower beer. Other than that, a typical macro... bland, boring and flavourless.

So this is what I do, travel the world and look for fine beers in every stop! Well, not exactly - but here in this town I’ve found a Labatt product that had missed my maw after many years of tracking ’em down, for better or worse. Has bleach white foamy head and lots of carbonation on a light yellow body, just about average. Aroma is rotting hops with a hint of sugary cardboard. Taste is a pile of beer-syrup stuff with a cardboard finish. Rather meh, not a disaster for a lite beer at all. Good enough to just be a bad lager!

Bottle. Yellow colour with a white head. Flavour and aroma in this one are as they tried to make it.....almost nothing.
