Dark Amber color, almost brown, with creamy head that seems nitro. Light aroma of wheat and banana. The wheat flavor has earthy traces that tend to a metallic feeling; the bitterness is very low. The final is too weak.
A Dunkelweizen with less yeast character (cloves and banana) than a German one.

Aroma has hints of smoked grain and leathery charcoal notes. Has a nice head and burgundy body with no carbonation. Flavour has nice amber beer and toffee notes with wit on the back end. A bit weak on the mouth. It’s interesting and certainly working on some levels.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a dark reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings a solid hop punch atop roasted malt and some dry cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with a rather robust profile, with some caramel roasted malt, cocoa and a good hop balance. Surprisingly thick palate with lots going on. This is really quite great.
