Cooked veggies, loads of corn, sweet almost cloying. I allowed it to warm a bit and it became toally undrinkable. A passable lawnmower college chug if ice cold, otherwise, pass!

clear yellow, small white head. aroma is sour dough, malts, faint fruits, aroma is like a polish strong lager. flavor is caramelly, quite dry, sweet malty, decent earthy bitterness. It could be a lot worse than this.

On tap @ the Findlay Hotel, Fraserburgh. Pours golden with steady bubbles and some head. The nose has honey malt and the hops come through as a grassy or metallic note at the end. The taste has caramel and the metallic note is confirmed. The palate is spoilt somewhat by the metallic finish as it’s not bad up to that point. Overall, just about drinkable.

No, it’s a three, probably a three-and-a-half, but ratebeer ain’t dun gun do halfzies so it’s goin’ down to three - decent head and an okay clear gold body. Aroma is weak cardboard and nothing else, except perhaps some chili? Flavour is boot leather and malt mixed with a crunchy nutty note. Watery finish. This stuff is just all over the place and has failed to make a positive impression.

Bottled. Clear, golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of black-currant, malt ald grass. Flavor is much the same, with an amount of sweetness. Ok body with some stickyness. Bitter finish. (060130)

An ordinary lager, easily drinkable without too much of anything. However, I won't buy it again of two reasons: a) In Norway, the price is twice that of domestic lagers / pilsener, while the beer isn't that much better (well, it's 0,3 - 0,5% stronger). b): When in Scotland, I will most certainly prefer a good Scottish ale to any lager!
