Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma caramel, malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, alcohol, caramel, malt, and a bit of metal, leading to a dry finish. The alcohol burns the tongue. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Dark amber color, almost brown; small sized head. Mild caramel aroma, some cereals. Good body strength; the caramel flavor is good, but the alcohol perception is too strong, and there is a light vegetables touch, typical of a few of these styles when the fermentation is pushed far; there is also a nutty touch, and that is better. Not too bad, but not exciting.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear dark nutty brown with an off-white head. Some hard roast nose, somewhat nutty too. Medium body, dray hard roast, dry burned caramel and a fairly decent hoppiness in the finish. 080411

Nice dark amber body with a huge head. Aroma is a slight malt with very Belgian-German hoppiness finishing it off. Flavour is soft grain with a sweet hop finish. This stuff is very good, and the alcohol is well hidden.

650mL bottle, pours dark amber / brown with a small beige head. Aroma of bready malts, spices, brown sugar. Flavour of caramel, bready malts, spices, and mild brown sugar. The flavour is too dominated by the bread and odd spices to be overly enjoyable to me. Decent.
