This natural unfiltered German wheat beer is crisp and refreshing with hints of clove, citrus and banana flavours.

Cloudy and yellow, but no head. Aroma has some weizeny banana and spice but is also kind if dirty, stank foot style. Taste is much cleaner, banana, vanilla. Wheat.

On tap at Big Ridge, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is like a mix of a Belgian wit and German hef, with clove, banana, citrus and some spice. Flavour is very similar, starting with banana and clove, and transitioning towards citrus and spice. Not a fan of banana in my Belgian wits, but this works okay. Drinkable and nicely constructed, just nothing special.

Draught at the brewpub
Muddy blond color. The aroma is quite spicy and nice. The mouthfeel is dry, with wheat flavor, clear spicy character, hints of citrus fruits (none of the promised banana) and a bitterness that is on the high edge for a Witbier. Not bad.

Has no aroma to speak of. Appearance is foggy yellow with no real head. Flavour is decent lemon and wheat with only a little hint of fake detergent. Soft palate. It’s okay, just okay; it’s reliable without any bells or whistles.
