On cask at Sailor Hagar's, pours a clear amber with a medium bubbly beige head. Aroma is quite medicinally sweet, with artificial sweetness and cough syrup. Flavour is thankfully better, but still bringing out some medicinal notes, sour toffee, and some English malt. Is tho how it's supposed to taste? Not good at all.

Hand-pump at Sailor Hagar’s
Brown color, creamy head. Light caramel and very light butterscotch aroma. The body is weaker than expected, there is caramel flavor, low bitterness. The hand-pump allows for lower carbonation, which is better for me. Simple but easy to drink

Re-rate 10 years later at the source. It's dark brown with good creamy head, okay biscuit on the nose though it does come across as watery. The flavour is more sweet biscuit with a big watery streak. Medium finish but not fulfilling. Simple and simplified, needs more attention to its style but probably works for the coughing 75 year old next to me whose tastebuds are shot from several decades of heavy smoking. September 2009 - Bought as a bottle quite awhile ago. Lives up to its name quite well, lots of nutty flavour in this one, some malts, but really too nutty a flavour for my tastes. Comes across as a little artificial, and low alcohol content doesn’t help me to get tipsy to enjoy it more either. Still okay, just not great.

Dark brown colour, light body, palate is also light, malt-accented, some nuttiness and drying out in the finish.
