Bone-dry and heavily dry-hopped with European noble hops, Field Theory is like a walk through a summer meadow. The brightly herbal hop aroma paves the way to the peppery phenols and fruity esters from fermentation with saison yeast. The beer leaves you with a crisp, dry finish and a powerful thirst for another sip.

On tap at Dageraad. Pours hazy pale blonde with a white head. Rustic saison yeast, some sweet esters, and some citrus peels on the nose. Flavour has dry rustic yeast, gentle esters, and an attenuated citrus peel finish. Nicely made, but not super complex.

Poured from 473mL can. Quite hazy blonde with white head. Rustic saison yeast, a bit of pepper, relatively dry. Nothing to write home about, but decent.

Very good solid white foam and nice clear medium gold body. Smells of nice sweet yeast, soft sugary grain. Taste is mellow sharp grain, soft hoppiness, vague honey. A little wet but that makes it refreshing in this case. Nice, simple and an easy spring beer.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Pale blond, initially it's clean, then there is some sediment that makes it cloudy. The aroma is very floral, a bit spicy, wildflower honey. Light body, off-dry, slight acidity; the flavour is mildly spicy, nice yeast touch.
Pleasant, suitable for summer days, a pretty good, sharp Witbier.

16oz on Alex's porch. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: slightly peppery, some herbals. Taste: along the same lines, slightly peppery and smoky. Overall: surprisingly good, not a straight Belgian Saison, kind of a hybrid I believe.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out rustic saison yeast, some sweet estery notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is similar, with saison yeast, some sweet esters and a little biscuity malt. Not overly complex but it's decently made.

Pale straw. thin head. Nice dry hopping. Lean and clean sweet pale malts lend a nice balance to the earthy, herbal noble hops. Nice balance. Very delicate fruitiness from the yeast. Very refreshing, classic turn of the 20th century saison.
