Jawoll!

Many thanks to McTapps! The beer starts malty and intense. Viscous, fruity. Dark dried fruit, malty body, not too deep, roasted malt. Fresh and still easy to drink with a fruity-plum/cherry aftertaste with roasted malts with chocolate and burned sugar. Interesting.

0,33 l bottle from craftbeerstore.de, best before 15/10/2015. Clear, very dark brownish red to black with a thin, soapy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of raisins, molasses, nuts, cane sugar and licorice with hints of dark chocolate and coffee. Sweetish-malty taste of raisins, nuts, caramel and molasses, later accompanied by licorice, dark chocolate and coffee. Medium long, slightly bitter finish with lots of roasted malts. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Nice doppelbock, less sweet but with lots of roasted malts causing a more coffeish and chocolaty experience with a decent creaminess not found that often in a style mostly characterised by its oiliness. Good addition to the North German beer landscape.
