A golden beer whose aroma is dominated by hops that give characteristic citrus notes. Hops and fruit on the palate are balanced by malt and a bitter base. Dry hoppy finish with soft fruit flavors. A nationally respected ale, winner of numerous awards, JHB is a blond baby packed with flavour & perfect for those long sessions as well as a quick pint at lunchtime.

Köpt på Tesco en gång. Återfanns aldrig. Riktigt bra citrusprofil på humlen mot en ljust lätt maltkropp. Riktigt god.

Cask @ The King’s Highway, Inverness. 250811
Very light straw, watery appearance. Thin white head. Clear.
Aroma on the nose of citrusy grape.
Taste of citrusy peppery hop, floral and herb notes, grapes, light honey malt, bit of green apple. Complex flavour and slightly unusual for the abv.
Palate - soft carb, some citric tang.
Good flavoured beer for the abv and rather unusual due to the floral / herby flavours. Only had a half, but might get a bit cloying after a while....not sure....Considering the low abv it’s a 14.

50 cl bottle. Light yellow beer with a weak and white head. Aroma is fresh and fruitfull, also light cereals, lemon and hint of tropical fruits. Taste is medium bitter, pure and light malts, lemon and some pine needles in the aftertaste. Fresh and pleasant hoppyness. Light to drink, but still nice and smooth. Good hoppyness and refreshning beer, enjoyable. Great beer from Oakham, again.

Bottle from Marks & Spencer, as M&S Cambridgeshire Summer Ale. Not sure if this is an alias of the Oakham JHB. Clear golden colour, white head. Nose is citric, grapefruit, slightly malted. Flavour is malty, fairly hoppy, citrus, grapefruits, some bitterness and dry biscuit. Very well drinkable. Fairly dry and bitter finish.
