Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Biscuity malt and bittering hop with citrus, some stone fruit. Fairly bitter taste with a light sweetness, finishes a bit dry. Light body. Pretty drinkable despite the light body, fruity and bitter.

Original rating 2002: (Cask conditioned at The Grid, Southfields, London). One of the best beers Iโve ever tasted! Top rating at The Great British Beer Festival. A real ale bitter with a complex aroma and flavour, still itโs surprisingly light and refreshing.

Bottle from Home Bargains @ 4.2%. Clear gold with thin white head. Aroma is floral with peach and mandarin fruity notes, pine. Taste is soft sessionable fruitiness with mandarin and stone fruit notes, some light pine tingle, and nice moderate bitterness. Light to medium bodied, easy to drink. This is a really good hoppy gold. My favourite from Oakham so far and I only paid ยฃ1. Sometimes you get lucky!
