A dry, bitter and spicy London IPA, brewed to a late 19th century recipe, with loads of English hops and two types of sugar. Hey was brewed for an exhibition by graphic artist Vaughan Oliver. Much of Vaughan's most iconic work was for the seminal 4AD record label and its roster of outstanding bands, this work was showcased at the exhibition. Hence Vaughan's design for the Hey label is adapted from the legendary Pixies album Doolittle.

Keg at Brewdog Clerkenwell, Thursday 17th March 2016 in the company of Dad and Barry. Hazy dark gold edging towards light amber with a white head. Citrussy with a touch of summer fruit on the nose. Very fruity in the mouth with a measured dollop of spice, citrussy mostly but there is a little pine, finishes dry, good beer. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov15 3.6

Bottle from BottleDog, Edinburgh. Hazy golden body with a reluctant white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of apricot and white sugar. Flavour of mushy pear, lemon and earth with a peppery hop finish. Medium body with a lightly texture. Soft fizz. A solid British IPA - I’d prefer if it was slightly less sweet.
