Nettes IPA! 12/11/12/12/11

Hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, fruity and very hoppy - grapefruit and flowers. Flavor is rather sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter. This has very little to do with a weizen bock, but it’s good never the less. 120310

Bottle #388: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, smaller stable tanned head; first hoppy, later fruity and malty-toasty aromas in the rich nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; lingering hoppy bitter-sweet finish with a touch of warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Quite delicious and well-rounded brew.....

Bottle from Alvinne Beer Shop. Batch 02.01/#226. Pours dark ruddy amber with a foamy beige head. smells wonderful. Like dark cooked fruit in a fresh way. Med body. It’s a bit woody, with cooked dark fruit, and clay. Nice.

Pours dark amber with a large honeycomb coloured head and lots of lacing.Nose shows loads of juicy fruit, with tangerines, orange marmalade and apricots before piney resin and spicy hops enter. Very hoppy, hard to pick up much else at first. Later on a little wheat is revealed along with some nutty and caramel malt. Very nice!Flavours follow along the same lines, lots of sweet, juicy, fruity hops mixing with caramel and doughy yeast. More malt is noticeable here than in the aroma, a little closer to what I’d expect in the style.Carbonation is very low, could be higher really.Very unorthodox but amazing anyway.
