Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Cloudy amber pour with a decent and lingering off white head. Fragrant hops aplenty in the nose with some citrus and sweet malt lurking also. Flavour was slightly sweet with yeast, malt and hops all prominent. Pleasing balance. Dry bitter finish. Really wouldn’t have had this pinned as a Weizen Bock which is to its credit really. Thought it might be slightly more spectacular when you think who was involved in the brewing, but pretty darn good all the same.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy brown pour with a white head. Aromas of tropical fruit, oranges, herbs, sweet spices. Flavours of bitter chocolate, pineapple, stewed apples, limes. Good, hoppy mouthfeel. Finishes hoppy with malty/fruity notes. Interesting.

Cask at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö
Cloudy dark amber color; persistent thin layer of big bubbles. Very strong fruity hop aroma, hidden impression of bubblegum and cheese. The soft carbonation allows to fully appreciate the malt and toffee backbone, low gravity, quite overwhelmed by the powerful fruity hopping; there is some pleasant residual sweetness. Long and bold final, dominated by caramel and hop, partially resiny and fruity. Very good.

33cl bottle. #114 looks great - cloudy dark brown, smooth thick large light brown or offwhite head. aroma is very very nice flowery hoppy, based in faint malty sweetness and some roast, dates and dark fruits. flavor is lovely floral hops, dark malts, roasted stuff, faint caramel, faint bitterness. Good blend, not much weizen in the flavor, not much bock in the flavor, but what there is, is delicious. ends dry, (caramel)bitter, sweet , slightly hoppy sweet floral notes.

Bottle, 7.5%. Good grassy hop aroma, hint of pine. Cloudy red amber colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour has a lot of the same hop flavour as the aroma, caramelly and grassy. I cannot taste any wheat, not esters as far as I can tell. Good mouthfeel, though.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark orange to brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is dry spiced hoppy with a light fruity note. Smooth yeasty and grapefruity hoppy flavoured. Smooth mouthfeel, about what is left from the wheat grain. Slight bitter and citric note. Dry and citric to peachy into the far finish.
