Bottle, 6.8% @The Fat Cow, Bangkok with jmgreenuk and deanso. Black with small light beige head. Aroma has dark chocolate and licorice. Sweet chocolate, light licorice, caramel. Nice.

Bottle at the Dog Step, Bangkok. Poured almost black with a short-lived frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, dry coffee, aniseed, liqourice, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter with a smooth, rich, oily, sweet malt, liqouice palate and an oily liqouice finish. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation. A superb beer. Well worth the wait. More like a sweet stout to me but it the brewers think it’s a Porter I’ll live with that.
