Brewed to celebrate twenty-five years of Rooster’s and our pioneering approach to brewing modern, hop-forward beers, this limited edition pale ale has been brewed using two outstanding New World hops. Tropical fruits and hints of citrus (notably grapefruit) are on display and come courtesy of New Zealand’s Rakau hops and Citra from the USA.

Half pint, cask ale at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden. Clear amber-gold body, bubbly white head. Spotty lacing. Grassy hops on the nose, hints of citrus. Ripe fruity flavour profile with leafy hop bitterness towards the ending. Rounded mouth feel. Satisfying. (London 12.01.2019).

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 3rd October 2018. Clear gold with lasting white foam and initial lacing. Fruity aroma with biscuit malts. Citrus hoppiness in-mouth with mild spices. Hoppy and spicy finish. Light body and mouthfeel. Pleasant.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small foamy white head. A fruity aroma, peach and lemons and light malt notes. A sweetish light malt taste, citrusy with a moderate dry bitter finish.

Cask at the briar Rose. Pale gold, fine white head. Aroma is simple pale malts, grassy hop. Flavour is composed of medicinal, harsh bitterness. Palate is semi sweet grassy. Lowish carbonation.

On tap at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A straw coloured pour with a tight white head; floral aroma; dry floral taste with some orangey citrus; and a dry, herbal bitterness to finish. Rather moreish.

330ml can. Clear orange colour with a frothy white head. Aroma is very fresh and tropical, slightly unripe grapefruit, strawberry. Taste is the same, tropical fruits, berries, malts, light spice, light sweet, moderate bitter finish. Light-medium bodied, soft-moderate carbonation.

330ml can. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, light grassy hop citrus. The flavout is moderate to light sweet, light biffer with a light, crisp, watery, mineral, light fruit, dry hop bitter palate and a lingering dry bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
