Hier braut sich was zusammen.

Bottle shared on the train from Nuremberg to Freising during day 3 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2015. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy white head. Sugary toasty wheat, light caramel. Light bodied with average carbonation and creamy texture. Sugary finish with some ripe banana, toasted wheat, more caramel. Good one.

Standard Dunkelweizen appearance. Smells dark, but nothing im particular. Taste is a bit malty, a bit fruity - no banana though, and the esters are hardly present. Smooth carbonation, no kick. Boring. Disappointing for a Dunkelweizen :(

Day 3 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle from Rewe Bamberg shared on the train from Nuremberg to Freising, 26/01/14. Murky orange amber with a big off white head. Nose is earthy, light plastic twang, nana, light toffee aroma. Taste comprises yeast, light spice, banana. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair, a poor mans dunkelweizen, muted flavours.

Bamberg Bash Day 3. Train swig. Hazy amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry. A light lambic vibe here! Sweetish fruits and a little lactose. Dry finish. Weird but inoffensive.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast, malt and caramel and a mild touch touch of banana. Very faint taste of malt and banana with a touch of yeast. Mildly bitter finish. Excessive carbonation. Doesn’t taste of much. A disappointment.
