Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness and light herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance, with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an outstanding sour IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink; with the mellowly acidic/drying finish, never overly lactic. Outstanding hop showcase of Pacific Gem and Hallertau Blanc. Perfectly balanced Lacto and citrus/tropical hop juiciness; with a nice bready malt backing against acidity. Touch of dank/earthy notes. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
