Can. Pours hazy dark orange with very small frothy off-white head, orange peel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter tart orange peel taste, thin body, long medium sour finish. The initial tartness is very transient, followed by the hops bitterness, interesting beer.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/23/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness and light herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance, with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an outstanding sour IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink; with the mellowly acidic/drying finish, never overly lactic. Outstanding hop showcase of Pacific Gem and Hallertau Blanc. Perfectly balanced Lacto and citrus/tropical hop juiciness; with a nice bready malt backing against acidity. Touch of dank/earthy notes. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
