This spontaneous fermented beer has been aged in Hungarian oak barrels and appears with a light amber color with almost no head.
The aroma is huge and very vinous. A clear impression of oxidized apples is the first thing that hits you, which made us think of heavy old fashioned British apple ciders. The aroma also reveals the wooden notes from the barrels along with some burned toffee and spices like Star anise.
It has a very heavy acidic profile at first, one that quickly slides into a smooth kind of sweetness. We taste green apples, carambola and very young green grapes. It has a certain lactic acidic touch and a creamy dry finish that lasts forever and bares the green impressions through.
Some mild creamy blue cheese on roasted rye bread would work great due to both the lactic and acidity impressions in this beer.

Sampled from 0.375 l bottle. Clear, golden amber with a white head. Sourish-fruity, quite funky aroma of lemon, gooseberry, green apples, barnyard and oak. Moderately sour, quite fruity, very funky and dusty taste of lemon, gooseberry, green apples, barnyard and oak, followed by a medium long, moderately tart and rather woody-dry finish. Medium body, moderately astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very nice!

At cellar cleanup tasting at deanso’s. Vintage 2014. Smooth, grapes, minerals. Very nice /// Bottle courtesy of Maakun shared at Maakun’s. Dark golden with little ring of greyish bubbles. Grapes, white wine, horse barn hay, a sporadic (over)ripe strawberry, dried apricots, subtle wood tones, subtle cobwebs, wild yeast, herbal notes such as cardemom, cinnamon, vanilla. Medium sour, mild spices, subtle complex long bitter finish, minerallike saltiness. Medium body, smoothened almost oily minerallike texture. Faint carbo fizziness. Pretty nice!

Bottle shared at home. Clear dark golden with short lasting white head that leaves a small ring. Quite fruity with white grapes and apple, some malts, soft lactic notes, light funk and hay with a bit of dry cellar too but in a soft way not the massive dry cobwebs some gueuzes have. Vanilla and some berry pits, hint of cinnamon. Light sweet and under medium sour. Medium bodied with soft fine carbonation. Surprisingly good.

clear yellow, small white to offwhite head. Nice leathery sourish aroma, mostly reminds me of belgian lambic but i also get some crazier stuff in there. notes resembling tart spanish apple cider, woody notes hide in the leather. flavor is extremely sour and dry and tart. loads of wood, quite acidic, very close to the border where things get overly phenolic. I have this feeling that this beer is somewhat off what they were aiming for, that it just went crazy, but it is interesting and a treat nevertheless.

Bottle, 0.375l. Clear amber color with thin frothy and totally diminishing off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of yeast, must, wheat, barrel and mild green apples. Taste starts with citric acidity, green apples and wheat, following is vinous with oak characteristics, mouthfeel is crisp and dry, while moderate tannin bitterness is present at finish. Light to medium body, thin texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Worth of waiting one and a half year to be put out of the stock...
