Dark brown with quick fading head. It's roasted and bitter in the background with some coffee notes. Foreground is sweeter like a sweetened cappuccino. A bit thin and watery.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Black with a creamy off-white head. Has crisp stated roasted malts in both aroma and taste, and is slightly milky.

On cask @ Monty's Bar. Appearance - dark brown to black and with a lovely fawn/tan head. Nose - initial roast and then sweet chocolate with a caramel edge. Taste - the caramel and sweet milk chocolate is up front this time. There is still a roasty edge to it. Palate - medium bodied, crunchy and rich middle. Elegant linger. Overall - well made beer.
