Ekuanot taking the lead with its strong aroma characteristics of lemon, lime and papaya. Warrior is the other main hop; fast becoming a favourite, especially with US craft breweries and already used in our Southville Hop. Among its desirable traits are its clean, smooth bittering and a citrusy and spicy aroma.
Simcoe will come along for the ride, bringing its distinctive aromas of grapefruit, pine and herbs.
5 different malts bring body and balance to this hoppy IPA: the one and only Maris Otter is the basis; Torrefied wheat; Cara creating depth of colour and flavour for a light golden beer; Crystal 150 tuning in some colour and sweetness; Oats lending body and providing a round finish.

On cask at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - golden amber with lovely lacing. Nose - red fruit and caramel. Taste - redcurrants and burnt bread. Caramel at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied with a crunchy texture. Dry crunchy and balanced finish. Overall - great balance. Probably a red ale in retrospect.
