Hardywood Hopkeeper is brewed with Virginia-grown malt from Murphy and Rude Malting Co. in Charlottesville, VA, and a touch of Virginia Honey. Our Double IPA is hop-forward and approachable, with a proprietary blend of hops lending lush notes of juicy pineapple, fresh orange zest, and citrus fruit.

9th Oct 2018; keg pint at Crafty Fellas London. Slight haze to the golden body, decent white head. Semi-sweet tropical fruits abound in both the nose and taste, a real mix fruit bowl of a beer. Liked it.

Keg at Mother Kelly's, Bethnal Green, London. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel, classic US DIPA aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, caramel, tropical fruit, quite sweet with hints of honey. My kind of American DIPA, adored the aroma.

Keg at MK VHX, 13/08/18. Light haze on a pale golden blonde pour with a decent off white covering. Nose is honey, citric zest, old skool DIPA aroma, grassy, caramel malts. Taste comprises old skool bite, sweet malts, honey drizzle, caramel, orange peel, melon, light pine, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. So so for the style ... honey evident but a touch simplistic all round.

500ml bottle bought from Trader Joe's - Falls Church. Poured a totally clear golden orange color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was a solid amount of citrus, pine resin, floral hops. Flavor was slightly bitter. Light citrus, floral. Not entirely juicy, and more bitter than DIPAs seem to be as of late, but this hit the spot.
