Cask at the Bankers Draft, JDW, Sheffield. Poured a clear reddish brown colour with a lasting off-white, light pink head. The aroma is yeast, raspberries. The flavour light bitter and sour, with a light, slightly watery, malt, light tart red berry fruit palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

bottle from Bier Huis Ossett. Unusual and strange pink colour, even with apink head. Berries in the nose. Malty start, shy hops, some red-currant and raspberries. Not sweet, quite plesant and quaffable.

Cask @ Puzzle Hall Inn, Sowerby Bridge. Clear magenta-purple with a creamy head. It’s not a conventional looking ale but tastes like one with a mix of hops and winter warmer malts.

Bottle. Deep, cherry red in colour, with no head but lively carbonation. Dense, slightly sweet, berry aroma. Easy drinking, with plenty more fruit, leading to a gentle finish. Ok.

Half-pint, cask in the Spa Lane Vaults, a Wetherspoons in Chesterfield on 20th Nov 2014. Blue hue to the creamy light purple head on a blueberry and raspberry, purple coloured body. Hedgerow berries in the aroma and taste. Strange looking and strange in nature: I liked it. No idea where the name comes from or the Belgian connection, there is a blueness to the brew though.
