Crisp, delicate & refreshing this is our Helles Lager, beautifully hopped in kettle & given 6 weeks of conditioning time this has all of the qualities we love in this style – a refreshing, slightly pithy citrus front end with clean, yeast-lead notes & a slight bitterness on the finish bringing eminent drinkability. A slightly higher finishing gravity than most boosts some of the citrus fruit character. In short this one’s an absolute crusher.

Tap @Track, Manchester. Clear golden, lasting thick white head. Malty aroma, bread crust, herbal, slightly earthy hops. Malty flavour, grassy and herbal hops. Finishes with a light citrusy bite. Nice.

Can @ Din øl, Odense. Pours clear golden with a diminishing white head. Freshly baked bread, cereal, grass and hay. Smooth and super crisp with a later whisper of citrus. Top solid!

On tap at Track, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle grass, mineraly notes, and a touch of herbal character. Flavour is clean, with mineraly notes, light herbal character, and straw. Clean and drinkable, but not the most interesting or authentic helles.

Huge tight white head grew on a swirling pale straw coloured body. Malt, grain & tobacco aroma. Medium bodied, sharp with a cloying back. Malt, grain, grassy, cereal & stone fruit tastes. Quality brew.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up via HOTM. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Basic stuff, but very tasty, nice doughy biscuits, faint straw, a hint of lemon, pale bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Balanced finish, more bready biscuits, nips of cereal and hay, restrained sweetness. Drank this very easily.
