This traditionally styled Porter has complex malt characteristics balanced with a mild hop profile. Scottish smoked and peated malts lend added complexity and a mild smokey flavor.

12oz bottle. Scotch Porter is a style that I associate with brewpubs of 10-15 years ago. Deep opaque brown-black body, creamy beige head. Roasty sweet cocoa aroma. The smoke is a little bit awkward, giving it a slightly oil feel, accentuating the specialty malts a little too much. Still a pretty respectable product, but not exactly World Class.

Medium brown color. Peaty, whiskey fill nose. Much more of a scotch ale, rather than porter in the nose. Mouth. Malty mouth, with good roasted malt and chocolate character under whiskey notes. Smooth malty finish. Enjoyable.

12 oz bottle into English pint. This bottle reads 6% ABV. Pours cola brown with a medium beige head. Dissipates in a minute, leaving a skiff of foam. Aroma is roasted coffee, alcohol, campfire smoke, chocolate milk. Taste is bittersweet with a light tang. Nice smoky flavor. Carbonation and body are medium; mouthfeel is creamy. Nice and innovative.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a very nice roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt with a very nice peat in the backround. Finish has some more peat left on the tounge followed be a nice smokyness. This is a unique and flavorful porter
