Ausgezeichnet!

330ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Bready, mellow, malty aroma, a touch of white bread crust, whiffs of orange, doughy yeasty overtones. Taste is slightly fruity hoppy, sweet-ish, slighty bready malty, hints of mandarine, orange, apricot, white bread crust, brioche, doughy yeasty overtones. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Not as good as the Keller-Pils, but comparable in the style of brewing: non-filtered, some yeast action allowed, deliberate, rather cautious, supportive hopping - not bad.

Big thank you to Erzengel for this 0,33 l bottle. Murky flat copper on the glass, small fast fading white head. Some caramel on the nose. Taste has also caramel, little bit grainy, some hop in the background. Inconspicuous.

Hell hefig-herber Beginn. Süffig, mild würzig mit zunehmend karamelligem Aroma, weich, deutlich ansteigende Aromatik. Würzig herb-karamellig, langer Nachhall. Gut! 10/11/12/12/10/12

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek' (Dortmund), best before January 2021. Slightly hazy, deep orangeish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little fruity-floral aroma of honey, light apricot and a touch of grains. Gently sweet, slightly malty, moderately bitter, a bit fruity-floral taste of honey, grains, some apricot and a touch of straw, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth but quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very pleasant beer, not that deep but rather quaffable. Miles above their Edelhell.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, small but creamy and stable off-white head, mild to moderate dryish herbal-grassy nose with a very small amount of sweet (toasted?) malt underneath; mild dryish bitter-sweet flavour, pretty slim for a beer of 5.6 %, fizzy; a shy balancing sweetness shows up in the all in all tart herbal-bitter finish. No glory, no big difference to industrial brews...
