750ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Bretty, oaky, vinous aroma, notes of grapes and blue cheese, Taste is dry, vinous, oaky, fruity and slightly funky, bretty, notes of grapes, grape juice, blue cheese. Clear, focussed, distinct, almost mono-thematic, one-sided; in a single word: brettaposition.

Bottle. Amber, hazy, aroma is brett forward, with some sweeter malty accents. Tart, bretty, light ginger and orange peel, with more of a coriandery, hoppy, bretty finish. Just a touch of residual sugars. Candyish - one of those sour candies but yes, candyish.

Bottle pour at Shelton Brothers. Funky barnyard nose with good saison yeast character. Apple and grain on the palate. Clean and crisp with more brett coming out as it warms. Peppery, bretty finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Saison Brett on 30 Oct 2016 at 23:55 - Score: 8

On tap at St. Augustine’s with Ash. Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is bretts, fermented fruits. Taste is pretty the same with wild yeasts, oak barrel, with fermented fruits and berries. Very good stuff.

On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. It’s an unclear one, orange colored and with a small, off-white head. There’s a light citrus in the aroma, some funky, leathery and haysih notes, with a touch of grapefruit peel. Oranges, citrus zest, funky notes and a little peppery touch in the flavor. It’s dry and full-bodied with a nic carbonation level. A bit low on bitterness all the way, but it’s a refreshing, pleasant and pretty straightforward beer. 150611

Pours bright gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving no lacing. Sweet funk, lemon and oak aromas.Crisp with tart citrus and aspirin front to back and into the abrupt oak and brett finish.
