Aged sample Dark cream head over deep brown beer. Sweet, nutty, bready - all real Bock. Maple or agavesyrup, dark honey, also some resin. Lightly smoked appearance, not too sweet, bready (brown bread). Finish is a bit more watery, not really full-bodied. Slick, lightly viscous; some alcohol obvious. Good Doppelbock, and very well kept-up. Grand merci à Fred d'A et Mathieu!

Bottle: Poured a clear deep brown/burgundy color bock with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with subtle sugar notes and subtle toffee notes. Taste is a great mix of caramelized malt with subtle toffee and dry fruits notes with light touch of residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Nice malt base doppelbock but falls slightly short on the yeast ester.
