Location: 500 ml bottle from Gilly's, 4/21/09

Aroma: Nose is mostly dark fruity hops, with the malts, and caramel scents in there as well
Appearance: Reddish brown, dark looking beer
Flavor: Nice sweetness to this one, similar to the nose, except the caramel and malts are slightly stronger and the fruit fades in and mixes with the rest of the flavors
Palate: Medium body, drinks pretty nicely and quickly
Overall Impression: I thought this one was pretty nice, a good flavor, and a smooth drink. A little lighter then I would have guessed from the appearance. Overall though, a very nice beer.

Quickly descending head, slightly red, dark brown color. Alcohol and malts in aroma. Slightly metallic taste. Roasted malts. Very little hops. Tastes better with cigarettes. Alcohol present in taste and it shouldn’t be. Meh.

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with a frothy, beige head. Malty nose with toffee, caramel, chocolate, dark fruit and dark bread. Malty taste with notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate, dark fruit, dark bread and a hint of cold coffee. Slightly bittersweet finish with a medium bitterness. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Not really daring, but a nice and tasty beer. In short: bittersweet caramel toffee.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber to brown with a lacing off-white head. Aroma is mild roasted malt towards breadish. Light yeasty and breadish flavoured with a light metallic touch. Lingering breadish and mild fruity finish once the metallic note diminishes.
