0,5 l bottle from a Hoffmann Getränkemarkt. Pours our dark red brown with an huge frothy beige head. Looking really good. Very malty smell, hints of licorice. Taste starts malty, sugar sweetness. Little bit alcoholic in the background. Nice one.

0.5 l bottle from 'Biermuda', best before May 2018. Clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, raisins and some caramel. Very sweet, malty, slightly fruity and a bit roasty taste of caramel, molasses, raisins and a touch of milk chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little boozy finish. Medium to full body, almost oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Classic, a bit simple but well-balanced and saturating Doppelbock, quite nice!

Flasche („Kloster Scheyern Poculator Doppelbock dunkel“, 7,6 %). Trotz des neuen Namens mit Sicherheit dasselbe Bier wie der Scheyern Doppelbock dunkel (Strichcode ist identisch). - Schwarzbraun, sparsamer kremiger Schaum. - In der Nase dezente Rumtopf-ähnliche dunkle Frucht, schweres dunkles Malz und Kaffee. - Antrunk schwer dunkelmalzig mit überreifer Banane, süßer Pflaume in Madeira und milder Bitterschokolade, eingebettet in saubere untergärige dunkle Malzsüße. Leider fehlt es an Tiefe, der Bock bleibt etwas vordergründig und flach. Mild rezent. Auch im Abgang dominiert dunkle Malzbittere, der Hopfeneinsatz ist nur schwach skizziert. - Für einen Industriebock nicht schlecht aber ohne Tiefgang und Pep. Ein richtig guter Bock kann viel mehr.

Bottle. Unclear dark golden body with a small tan head. Nice aroma of caramel malt, bread and some warming alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, nuts, dry fruit and fudges. Fine balanced body and quite long and sweet malty/caramel aftertaste.

Kicsi, gyorsan eltűnő hab, barna szín. Karamelles, szilvabefőttes illat. Karamelles, szilvás, picit kávés és fűszeres ízvilág, hangyányi alkoholossággal. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Kellemes, élénk ízvilágú sör.

At Bamberger hofbrau. Dark brown beer, medium head. Aroma is malt, caramel and hops. Taste is the same, little bit of alcohol. Sweet, bit bitter. review 2: Dark brown, small head, aroma is malty, caramel, raisins, dark ripe fruit, taste is the same, sweet, bitter, nice if what a bit too sweet.
