355mL bottle, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of candi sugar, Belgian yeast, toffee, and brown sugar. Flavour has a nice Belgian yeast expression, with candi sugar, brown sugar, toffee, caramel, and just a touch of bubblegum-y estery character. ABV is very well-hidden. Everything is integrated. Carb is a bit low for the style, but the yeast is used quite well. Very good.

Amber-brown. Sweet up front, some esters, golden raisins. Some alcohol but it's fairly balanced. There's a decent bit of character, slight toast, but overall a well-balanced take. Nothing mind-blowing, but good execution.

355mL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small white head. Candi sugar and dried berries on the nose. Flavour has a solid Belgian yeast character: dried berries, appropriate esters, light bitterness. Chewy malt base, nice candi sugars. Not much carbonation, but the yeast expression is good.

Bottled. Clear nut brown, mid sized head. Peppery aroma with pear and caramel. Mid sweet with full body and dense mouthfeel. Caramel, elderflowers and marzipan, plenty of pear brandy. Peppery warming finish.

Mar 13, 2026 (7/3/7/3/16=3.6): Poured from 355mL bottle. Clear copper brown with minimal beige head. Belgian yeast, some toffee, dark fruits, abv hidden for 14%. A touch thin, but decent. Seems the booziness is much more balanced now.

Jan 27, 2020 (7/3/6/3/13=3.2): Poured from the tap. Copper brown with tan head. Candied sugar, mild dry pitted fruits, and a ton of booze. A decent attempt, but it’s gotta dial back on the ABV as it takes away from the flavour.
