Keg at Borefts Day 1 22/09/2017. A jet black brown coloured pour with a sturdy mid tan head. Aroma is nice jammy red berries, grapes, vinous, brown sugars, woody. Flavour is composed of sticky brown sugars, grapey fruits, jammy, woody roffee. Palate is sweet, creamy, lowish carbonation.

Tap @ Borefts 2017. Deep dark brown color. Malt and toffee in the vinous aroma. Malty sweet, vinous flavor with roast and oak. Well balanced, in spite of the high ABV.

Borefts IX. Day 1. Keg. Clear dark brown beer, good yellowish tan head. Airy palate, fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, a little malt cream sweetness. Tangy red wine and red berries. Touch of spicy black berries underneath. The light finish reveals a slightly bitterish toffee. Very nicely done.

Bottle at tht. 12 months plus version. Aroma of wood, red wind, raisin and vanilla. Taste has lots of oak, ripe red fruit, dry tannines and some vanilla. Good stuff.

Draught @ 9th. BBF 2017 [ 9th Borefts Beer Festival 2017 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Kwartje Ruby Rioja ].Unclear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, sweet malt, wine, red wine, vinous. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, strawberry, dark malt, sweet malt, wood, vinous. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20170923] 7-3-7-3-15

@Borefts 2017 van tap, donker bruin/rood met kaki kraag. aroma van graan, mout, alcohol, rozijn, donker fruit, druif. hout. smaken redelijk zoet, matig bitter, hout, wijn/druif, alcohol, donker fruit, rozijn, glad/zacht, redelijke body, lage co2.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017, day 1. Opaque black color, medium sized dense stable beige head. Aroma is hard to describe, nothing I can compare it with really. Flavor definitely has the rioja barrel in it pretty strongly, liquorice a little, tannin bitterness. Decent to medium body, decent carbonation. Ok beer.
