Can. Real dark brown with a nice head. Aroma is mocha, vanilla and coffee. Taste is very chocolaty.

Can from Slijterij Groningen. Strong coffee in the aroma with mocha, vanilla, espresso, chocolate, coffee bean. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Lots of coffee in particular, tasty.

Black with red highlights and a large fluffy brown head. Bitter, roasty and metallic with a rough coffee presence. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Can (5/11/20) pour from Fort Point Market. It's a cloudy dark, dark brown and mahogany with nice sparkle, finger-width cap of creamy beige head with poor retention and beautiful rings of lacing. Aroma is moderately strong well balanced lactose, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is strong vanilla, lactose and coffee with milder dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with mix of creamy and watery texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering dry, roasted bitterness. Overall, exceptionally well balanced aroma, nice strength of flavor; mouthfeel's a bit weak.

Black beer, thin head quickly fizzles out. Hearty, roasty coffee smell. Tastes of coffee, LOTS of coffee, with toasty malt, a little vanilla and some dark chocolate. Rich, a little lively but still has a creamy feel. Pretty nice stuff.

355ml can. Almost black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Taste is sweet, milk chocolate, vanilla, bitter coffee, light roast. Very smooth, creamy, but fairly light.

Can. Opaque black color, full sized tan head. Aroma is coffee, cocoa and vanilla. Flavor is malts, smooth soft coffee notes, vanilla, cocoa. After a while more dark malt notes come through. Very smooth velvety texture, easy drinkable, a bit low bodied but I like that in this beer. Plenty of flavor to enjoy. Good one.

Almost black beer, a head is quite small and beige. Aromas has strong coffee, roastiness, hint of vanilla. Taste has coffee, balancing sweetness, hint of vanilla. Medium bodied. Nice beer, strong coffee, I like this.
