330ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a mostly clear medium brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel, with a roasty, liqourice, light caramel, chocolate, light dry ashtray palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Pours pitch black with a dark tan head.Nose shows heavy roast, cocoa, faint liquorice and bready malt.Flavours include more roasted malt, soft coffee notes, cocoa, bready and toasty malt. Very moreish.

Can. Black aka very dark red with a beige head that fades to a cm fairly quickly. Aroma of mocha, chicory, earth, gentle roast. Roasty fllavoures are more prominent than guessed for the aroma. It's getting towards thin and the pretty modest bitterness is still enough to accentuate that. But the balance is appropriate for something you'd drink 5 of over 3 hours - and that I guess is the idea.
