For the first bottle of The Moksa Memberhood, our exclusive membership sold once a year, we wanted to go big. Attempting to create the flavors of the American dessert German Chocolate Cake, we added absurd amounts of toasted and raw coconut, Ghanian and Ecuadorian cacao nibs, and Tahitian vanilla beans.

Bottle at DRBT 10. Pours black with small tan head. The aroma is brownie batter, roast, vanilla, licorice. Slick body, vanilla, cocoa, roast, brownie, fudge, nice sweetness, light boozy finish, enjoyed this.

30/VI/20 - 50cl bottle @ home, BB: n/a, MM2018 (2020-573) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the bottle!

Clear black to dark brown beer, practically no head. Aroma: lovely stuff, lots of chocolate, cinnamon, alcohol, tonka beans (?), some vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, lots of alcohol, sugary and sweet, vanilla notes, bit or tonka, chocolate, gentle roast. Aftertaste: little bitter, alcohol, more roast, dark chocolate, lovely stuff, very nice beer!

On tap at OMBF 2018, Krakow. Pours black with brown head. Shitload of cocoa, chocolate, nice smooth roastiness, coffee, vanilla, medium sweetness, nice bitter finish. Velvety. Full bodied. Fantastic.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours very dark brown, orange at the edges, with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coconut. Just about full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla and coconut. Not so sweet as might be anticipated. I don’t think bitter is an appropriate consideration with this ale. It’s dessert beer - or evening sipper beer. And the lack of heat at the ABV is amazing to me. Very good stuff.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is full of rich chocolate, moderate coconut and light vanilla. Medium light alcohol notes and hints of roast. Pours black with a medium sized, thick, creamy, dark mocha head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is full of super strong chocolate notes and moderate sweetness. Moderate bitterness and light alcohol notes. Medium light coconut and light vanilla. Hints of alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice stout. This is so much like a chocolate cake that they should have named it Family Batters.

Lekko przypalone ciastko czekoladowe. Slodkawe z wytrawnym i kawowym posmakiemi. Srednio ciala. Smaczniuchne. Ale specyficzne, nie moje.
