Nighten up, tighten up: here comes the dark. This is a chocolate, roasty, toasty full-bodied character, a sound accompaniment to ringing in the evening or reining in the dawn. An all around tip of the hat, and not at all out-of-sorts at any time of the day.

Pale amber-chestnut kind of colour, thick head. Light toasty character with a bit of sugary sweetness. Solid, and fairly moreish.

Soft dry biscuit on the nose, has dark clear copper body and some very modest foam on top. Flavour is soft caramel and biscuit, nothing else. Mouthfeel has okay carbonation but it's a little too thin. This is a mellow brown ale, drinkable anyways.

On tap at Over Time, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very malty, with lots of toasted caramel, toffee, and bready malt. Flavour is fairly dry and malty, with toasted caramel, a little toffee, and bready malt. Dry and malty finish, with a nice caramel note. Solid brown.

On tap. Pours a clear red-brown with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of bready caramel malt, chocolate, nuts, earth and floral hops. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, chocolate, ash and nuts in a dry, mild bitter, floral hop finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Easy to drink, not bad.

Poured from 355mL can. Medium dark brown with beige head. Mild toasted malt and nuts. Slightly watery. Not terrible, but lacking.
