This timely beer is high on the go-to list. It’s a light, lager-like ale with medium body, malty-grainy flavour, and a crisp, dry finish. Mountain Standard promises to set clocks back to a time when one good beer tasted a little like having another one.

Dullish gold. Just a thin head. Flabby malts and sulphury hops…not a great combo. I don’t taste the 25 ibus but I wish I did.

Strong cereal aroma, has good clear medium gold body and soft foam. Flavour is sharp grain with hints of hay. Mouthfeel is full and crisp. It's not bad, a little unsophisticated but it works.

On tap at Over Time, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp biscuity malt and a little straw. Flavour is earthy, with bready malt and straw. A little stale and lacking in sturdy maltiness. Drinkable.
