Too faint barley on the nose, has dark brown body and little foam. Flavour is muddy chocolate syrup, nothing else, and that lingers on the tongue. This is not at all a good porter and I expect far better from Slackwater.

Dark mahogany colour. Mild chocolate and rye bread, lean body. Simple finish.

On tap at Bomber, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tingle and a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa and earthy malt - pretty gentle. Flavour is along the same lines, with gentle cocoa nibs, and earthy malt. Dry and malty. Pleasant enough.

Light cocoa. No head. Medium brown. Thin, lame, going nowhere. No complexity or depth, on a style that should have ample of both.
