Following the introduction of the bottom-fermented brewing process in the mid-19th century, a new beer type became popular and shaped the consumption habits of beer drinkers. The fresh, pale brew with its mildly hoppy flavour became one of the star products of its age. That is why Dortmunder style is considered a milestone in the development of beer culture in the world and became a synonym for superior quality. Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of Noble hop with light bready support. Med body. Flavor is the aroma. A bit dry than exported. Bitter enough to balance the malt. Quite a nice drink.

330ml draft in a bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Light hazy gold, small white head, minimal retention. Aroma of pale malts, slightly grainy in note and lemon. Taste is grainy, bread, some citrus and spice. Its fine but a little dulled. Carbonation a little on the low side but probably not in top condition. Still has a nice smoothness. Its ok.
