We’ve been loving the latest batches of Loral we’ve managed to get our hands on, so it makes sense to go all in with our latest 4.8% pale! It’s got a big floral nose backed up by bold flavours of tangy orange and a hint of bitterness.

Can from This Is Beer. Appearance - cloudy yellow, big fluffy white head. Nose - ripe peach, going into pineapple. Taste - this time, ripe mango. Again pineapple, perhaps from a can. Pretty luscious. Palate - creamy and tangy at the same time. Medium bodied or very close. Nice elegant taper on the finish. Overall - really lovely.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from the Experiment. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. A nicely restrained pale ale from Verdant, with mellow sweetness, pale bread, some lightly juicy tangerine and lemon, soft rindy bitterness. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Pretty clean finish, more relaxed rindy bitterness, supportive pale malts, some pithy citrus, hints of pine needles. Very drinkable.

Can 440ml (Mikkeller web, canned 29.07.20)
Hazy yellow colour, big cloudy white head. Aroma of grapefruit peel and citrus, some fruityness. Light-bodied. Flavour is similar: there is grapefruit peel, citrus, mango in the flavour. Pale malty, light but citrusy. Good one.

Can thanks to my brother. It pours hazy bright yellow - gold with a frothy white head. The aroma is juicy and tropical, tart fruit vibes and tang, pineapple, twist of orange, pink grapefruit, fruit cocktail, surprisingly floral and herbal. The taste is drying upfront, green, floral, fragrant, pithy citrus, tangy tropical fruits and citrus, yellow plum, pineapple, pomelo, some floury bread in the backdrop and a nip of spice. Finishes up dry. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Quite quenching. Decent.
