Brewed mainly for bottling but some casks are available, a bit of an experimental beer for Red Fox not known for fruit beers this is a full bodied stout flavoured with sloe berries picked on Upp Hall Farm where the brewery is based. This is essentially a Christmas beer infused with cinnamon and ginger.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt and vinegar infection. The flavour is strong sour and not much else. Infected and undrinkable.

3/2/2020. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. Pours black with a long lasting creamy pale beige head. Aroma picks up the sloe berries nicely, with light roasted malt, touch of chocolate and caramel, a little lime and very light spice. Moderate sweetness, light berry bitter/tart. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, average carbonation. It worked quite well.

Almost opaque red - brown beer, small and bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts with light and dry malt cream. Banana and bubblegum esters. Tangy fruits including a little apple before a dry finish. Tasty but couldn’t drink loads.
