Medium-dark in colour, floral and herbal on the nose and rich in toasty flavours. This Porter is dry hopped with Liberty, resulting in a stronger hop character than 03|01.

33cl bottle from AbM. Bottled on 22/12/2013. Dark brown, near black, thin brown head. Aroma has coffee, roasted nuts, malt and some spicy notes. Flavor has that great roasted malty, roasted coffee notes with some citrusy fruity notes to compliment. Slightly ashy, dry finish. Medium bodied. High drinkability. Nice brew.

330ml bottle. Pitch black colour with average, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Chocolately, fruity, roasty, dark malty aroma. hints of milk and dark chocolate, dark berries, a touch of nuts and nougat. Taste is chocolately dark malty, minimally fruity, dry hoppy overtones, hints of hazelnut; lasting, dry, roasty finish. Rich and intense.

Bottle from Ales By Mail [010314]
Black, thin beige head, some lacing.
Aroma of soft roasted malts, chocolate, getting some slight citrus here, slight floral hop.
Taste of smooth dark malts, nice mellow roasted malts, soft floral, dab of smooth citrus, plain chocolate, quite a lot going on here, no booze, tasty porter.
Palate - soft carb, medium body, smooth texture, balanced palate, finish has a nice chocolatey linger with some more soft tangy citrus coming through.
Overall - Excellent moreish porter, with some Black IPA characteristics. I want more from this brewery

Bottle from Cornelius. Black body with a medium beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, black cherry and chocolate. Flavour of fruity hops against a dark chocolate backdrop - definitely verging into Black IPA territory. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. I tried this immediately after their 08/01 Stout and it came out on top.
