Bottle (2020 vintage) from Wee Vault. Murky amber/brown body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of prune, red grapes and caramel. Flavour of red wine, toffee and berries. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Well rounded and (slightly disappointingly) subtle.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber with a beige head. Aroma has plenty of port barrels, Belgian yeast, toffee, and bready malt. Flavour has a nice Belgian yeast expression, along with candi sugar, moderate barrel presence, a touch of wine, and bready toffee. Real nice barrel expression to complement the yeast. Very good.

Aroma of malts, yeast, caramel, candy sugar, dried fruits, herbal notes. Flavour is thick sweetness, yeasty. Carbonation is rather high. I liked the BBA just a little better, but this one is very nice as well.

В аромате сразу угадывается рождественский стиль пива. Просто тонна пряников со всевозможными присыпками, в которых точно угадывается корица как минимум, также немного темных фруктов, и кураги. Цвет темно коричневый, пенка средняя. Вкус такой же, много пряников, умеренная сладость, есть сухофрукты, специи. Алкоголь не ощущается, хороший баланс. В целом отличный выбор на рождество, винтаж этому пиву не вредит.

0.33l bottle. Hazy brownish orange body with a thin but lasting pearl head and floating sediments. Aroma of caramel malts, toast, wood, orange zest, nutmeg and even some cinnamon. Taste of candi sugar, toast, raisins, oak, nutmeg, orange zest and a bit of spicy hops. Medium body and carbonation, alcohol well hidden. Very nice beer. The notes from the barrel are apparent, but don't overrule the beer.

Stunning! Old de Struise can be hit or miss but this was such a delight. Deep port vibes, smooth and perfect. It's incredible that this was in stock on their website, especially for so cheap. I guess because it doesn't have marshmallows or ice cream in it
