A bold well balanced ruby ale packed with rich malty flavours, deep caramel notes and a hint of toffee and chocolate to finish.

Bottle from the Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, kindly purchased for me by Loz 18.03.12 consumed 21.03.12 Mmmhh.. I was hoping for some good things from this new brewery but alas its very much a malty beer that offers little else. The nose has some dark sugars and has a sort of unfinished feel about it, touch of dusty old spirit. Taste is malty and whilst better than the nose it just feels like a work in progress, the hops are difficult to pick out but there is a very slight bitterness after the malt heavy front. I’m not really a fan, little bit of cocoa, yes not my thing really. Hazy dark brown with very little head of note. A5 A3 T5 P2 Ov10 2.5
