Pours black, medium small, fast fading , lightly tanned head. Scent is tart, sharp, mild roastyness. Taste is sharp, tart, yet full oak, bit 'glue' aspect in it's tartness. Medium fullbodied. roasty. Actually quite alright. Some Bourbon aspect. I'm not a fan of dark sours ( accept oud bruin / vlaams rood ) but it's beers like this that prove me wrong, as I prefer this over the regular (non sour) version. It's a better balance to me, better fitting the body, and a more unique beer. Keep up the good work Jo!

Draught White rim over near-black beer. Vinous, lactic acid, fruity esters. Smells like Oud Bruin, rather than Bourbon aged 'Quad'. Vanille arrives very, very late and very unobtrusively. Bit harsh in flavour, lots of fruity esters. Raw(er) alcohol than Bourbon to me. Berries, fruitacids, with brown sugar and balsamico; finish has even something of eggnogg. Lipsmacking acidity, balsamico feel, but the finish is more lean. To me this is a quite strong Oud Bruin.
