Our modern version of the classic porter style. This beer is very dark yet deceivingly delicate on the palate with roasted grains, berry fruits and a hint of smoke lending complexity.

Malts: Maris Otter, Brown, Chocolate, Roasted Barley
Hops: Brambling X, HNB, Goldings

Opaque ruby brown colour, small but thick creamy tan head, mostly lasting, light lacing. Rich aroma, roasted malts, caramel, cocoa, dark fruits, liquorice, bit cardboard. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, toffee, dark fruits; roasty sweetbitter aftertaste, some liquorice, light peppery notes, alcohol. Full-bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, round and rich, well-balanced, alcohol well-hidden, excellent porter.

0,33l Bottle from random Orcadian shop. Igazi reggeli itóka kv helyett ajánlatos leginkább. Én is a hajnali fél 5ös Aberdeeni gépünk előtt küldtem be a szervezetbe.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Max. Dark brown. Chocolate, nuts, caramel, a bit of roast, sweetish, slightly bitterish finish, medium-bodied. Nice.

330ml bottle. Almost black colour with a minimal tan head. Aroma of dark fruity malts, chocolatey and coffee notes, slight hint of smoke. Taste matches the aroma, dark fruity malt base, mildly bitter chocolate and coffee flavours, bit of alcohol too though not as much as I expected for 9%, can feel it in your throat slightly though. Oily texture. Actually a really nicely done porter.

Bottle Shared with Niller (big thanks to Ash at Appellation Wines) - black pour with beige head. Sweet and medium roasted malty aroma and taste, some dark fruit, some very nice chocolate prominence, caramel, roasted coffee, slight smoky charred burnt malty notes coming in, very nice.

330ml bottle from trade with AshtonMcCobb. Many thanks chap! Pours reddish dark with cream head. Aroma is gorgeous dark fruits and molasses. Taste continues with light liquorice and layered malt. Smooth and full flavoured this is simply a magnificent, fascinating porter.

Cask @ Mr Foleys, Leeds. Very dark with a thin off-white creamy head. Its strength is very evident, with a washy and soapy darker malt character, somewhat smooth, but lacks flavour. Has an underlying sweetness throughout its character.
