33cl bottle @ home, over a year old. Very dark brown color. Head disappears immediately after pouring. Aroma’s: Dried fruit, light salty(?), a bit alcohol, weird. Retronasal it’s sweet, toffee, a bit dark fruit. Flavor is sweet (but not sticky), toffee-ish, a bit dark sugar. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Finish is not too long, slightly dry, hardly any bitterness. OK.

Bottle (from hetbiermoment.nl). Pours dark brown without head. Aroma is peanut butter, malt, caramel. Flavor is sweet, malt, dark fuits, plums, slight sour-acidic notes. Finish is malty. Carbonation is soft, almost flat. Alcohol is well covered. Overall: in hedonistic scale it’s ok, but as far as craft of brewing goes this feels flawed.

Pours a very black brown brew with no head whatsoever, and an almost imperceptible carbonation. The smell is mostly sweet, honey and traces of strawberry jam alongside alcohol. The taste is also quite sweet, with malted sugars dominating strawberry jam, red grapes and a medicinal bitterness in the background. Very thick body and up-front alcohol, together with a too sweet and sticky aftertaste make this a mediocre beer, from my perspective.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 12-2016, large sample. Dark brown color, short to no frothy head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, molasses, honey. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter dark malts, honey, slight laurel. Bit dry in the finish, slight alcohol. Bit unbalanced, but quite interesting. Decent.
