Backlog. From bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 08.04.13. Pale copper, almost clear. Some bitterness, hops and dark caramel in aroma. Well-balanced taste, with chocolate malt, caramel and refreshing hops. Quite carbonated for an English ale. Good drinkability.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber with a generous head. Nose - gentle toffee and very light raisins. Taste - nuts, biscuits then gets richer. Maybe going as far as dark fruit. Light spice. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good example of the style. Complex but drinkable.
