Takie sobie precietnie dostateczne piwo. Z niewielka piana pecherzykowa koloru amber no i nieco drozdzy lekko zmetnilo barwe. Ciut slodowe wyraznie rozwodnione goryczkowe ale umiarkowanie i to bardzo. Na ESB powinno sie wiecej chmielic. A tak tu mamy zwykle piwo srednio wychmielone. Sporo innych angielskich Bitterow bylo bardziej goryczkowe niz to ESB.

500 ml bottle conditioned, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Auburn colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dark died fruits and "dusty" hops. Rich malty and earthy flavour, mild roasty notes, some caramel but not too sweet, dark dried fruits again, reasonably hoppy finish. Nice one.

Slightly hazy amber beer, little white head. Crispy palate, semi dry. Well balanced. Mildly creamy pale malt and orangey hpo. Minerals. Sweetish semi dry finish.

Cloudy reddish amber pour with a big frothy white head and broken lace. Nothing much in the aroma other than a hint of malt, but a lovely warm bitterness in the flavour that goes right to the palate. A lovely refreshing ale that should be served warm and in front of a big roaring fire in the winter!

Brown 500ml bottle, best before Nov 2008, drank on a very cold March 2008 evening. Bottle conditioned, so poured very carefully so not to upset the sediment, into a pint sleeve glass. Huge biege head sat on top of a deep amber body, not quiet clear, but not a cloudy mess either. The aroma comes from both Golding and (fairly local) Worcestershire Challanger Hops. The beer is made with Wheat and Barely, so those add to the beery smell being imparted. A very English ale smell is what I am trying to discribe. The mix of Maris Otter Pale Malts and roasted Crystal Malt not only ensure the colour is typically an ale colour, they also give the beer its truely Englishness flavour. The bottle recommends the beer to be taken with mature Shropshire Blue Cheese, I’ll second that. If you have read some of my other reviews for this breweries beers you will know all about their brewery trips and what you get to eat etc. The 5.2% is understated although there is a hidden depth to the taste and it certainly stays in the mouth long after the beer has gone and you reach for another swig. Another fine beer from one of my favourite breweries.

Bottled. Lightly hazy amber, small head. Fruity nose with slight vanilla, but rather faint aroma. Salty and bitter with some cookies. Long resiny bitterness.
